Rupert founded his company Conker Spirit in the backstreets of Bournemouth in 2014. He distils Dorset dry gin, bottles it and labels it on site in Dorset. The product is made up from 10 botanicals that Rupert forages for in the New Forest and at Poole Harbour, in particular gorse flowers, Dorset elderberries and marsh samphire. He lives with partner Emily in Southbourne with a young daughter and they own a beach hut at Mudeford Head.
